While it certainly has been a while since the Umai Yomu Anime Blog last received an award, this is certainly not the first time. As you know, this is a critically acclaimed blog – providing all of the best and correct takes on everything anime. Otherwise known as the best blog ever (although I guess some other blogs come close).
The real surprise here is how this blog hasn’t received MORE awards than it already has. Quite the mystery, don’t you think?
You know, there’s been a bit of a tag post drought so far in 2019!
So it’s nice to get another one after what feels like a very long time!
Let’s see… it’s been a little over two months since I’ve published a tag post / award on this blog. Well, it feels like a long time at least. But that’s about to change, because I’ve been nominated for a few awards recently!
The award this time around is the Achievement Unlocked Award.
Nomination is courtesy of Lynn Sheridan! Thanks!
(Check out our Sankarea Collaboration! First post here.).
This time, things will be different.
This time, I will engage you all in some serious anime inspired tankas.
That said, you can find my first T.A.P. post here.
I was tagged by Lynn Sheridan back in December for a second round of poetry, and it just so happens that I was going to write some poetry for the Konobi Collab anyways.
So I figure, why not both?
This seems to have worked out perfectly, thanks Lynn!
A few months ago I was tagged by Aria for the 3 Days 3 Quotes Tag.
It’s finally time to start it up! This tag spans over 3 days, as you may have guessed.
You can find Aria’s 3 Days 3 Quotes Tag posts here: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3.
I was tagged on Day 3, which had a great quote from Microsoft.
If only they could follow their own tip – yesterday Windows on my laptop went through a big update that took over an hour. Once it was finally done, I discovered that the update had deleted my audio driver! I tried downloading the driver online, but the install would always fail, so I had to revert to before the update.
Needless to say, I have disabled windows update and that’s the end of those.
After all, I quite like having an audio driver on my computer.
Anyways, the rules for this tag are simple:
Thank the person who nominated you.
Post three quotes on three consecutive days.
Nominate three bloggers to do the same.
Thanks again Aria for the nomination, I had this tag written down for a while now.
Glad to finally get started on it, so here we go!
You may not have known this, but I’m actually a well established pirate captain.
In fact, you may have even heard of us from the rumours going around.
They call us the… Mirage Pirates.
That’s right, I am Dark-Seal Mirage, notorious pirate captain wanted for countless raids on World Government ships. We strike fast – appear and disappear just as quick. They don’t even have proper bounty posters for us – our targets always find their way to the bottom of the ocean after being stripped of all valuables.
Only a single pair of marines managed to survive long enough to row their way back to land and report on what had happened, creating the first rumours of my crew. As such, not much is known about the Mirage Pirates – only that they strike far away from land, target only Government ships, and leave no trace of their existence behind.
You may be surprised to read that we do tag posts here on the Umai Yomu Anime Blog.
The thing is, it’s something we do here. We do tag posts.
They don’t call me Master Yomu, Brother Yomu², Yomu the Prognosticator, Yomu the Unique, and the Tag Master for nothing! More titles to come in 2019.
So a thanks goes to Average Joe for this one.
I have a feeling this one will come back to me at some point!
We know that thanks to this post, when the blog first received a One Lovely Blog Award. In fact, this was the first award of many to be received on this blog. What a journey it’s been over these past several months.
But it’s not over yet, because the blog has been nominated yet again for the One Lovely Blog Award. You know, this makes the Umai Yomu Anime Blog a lovely blog x2. Twice as lovely as it once was. Truly a lovely blog, loved by many. And all of this love is very appreciated by yours truly. Thanks everyone for the support.
Speaking of which, an extra thanks goes out to Tessa for the nomination this time around. Tessa also runs a lovely blog, that I recently discovered a few weeks ago. A great blog for anime and manga related content!
