For past, present, and future posts of the Konobi collaboration.
As always, anyone can write a post for this collaboration at anytime, and I will add it to this list.
Consider it a challenge or something, should you ever be interested in watching This Art Club Has A Problem! / Konobi! The theme lists will be here as well, so you have everything conveniently in one place for the next time you decide to watch Konobi.
One of these days, I’ll never have to write “This Art Club Has A Problem!” in a post title ever again. Unfortunately the time is not yet, so until then my blog will remain a This Art Club Has A Problem! / Konobi tribute. Many people have already come across this blog looking for details on specific episodes of Konobi, only to get a themes list or some nonsense theme post. In the end, traffic is traffic, so I’ll take it.
While there are a few more Konobi posts to go, I will sum up my final thoughts on the anime here. Thanks to the Collab, and the variety of posts we’ve all created for it, I feel like I’ve been exposed to Konobi far more than most anime I’ve watched. I sort of feel like a Konobi expert as a result.
Thank goodness we got to see Collette in the final episode – I was getting a bit worried.
You may think that this is the end, but there are a few more Konobi related posts that I’d like to write in the coming weeks (even though my blog has been plagued with Konobi posts for the last several months haha). A recap post, a post listing everyone’s posts, and a post to talk about the collab and my thoughts on it – how it went, what I’d consider improving, etc. I have learned quite a bit and have plenty of ideas thanks to this collab. So stay tuned for more Konobi posts I guess!
All this time I’ve been putting something off – core themes. And so, not to be outdone by Jon, I too have decided to take on multiple themes for the final episode of Konobi. In fact, I have chosen three core themes + one episodic theme. Basically, in order to not be a liar, I have decided to complete all of the core themes I didn’t do, because I said I would try and cover them all at some point (the episodic themes were just getting too fun!), and I can’t turn down bashing Subaru.
For what better way to end the the collab than with a bang?
This is it, the final episode of the collab.
What a journey it’s been!
Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the collab, and thanks to everyone who has been following along and reading all of the collab posts! This has been a quite long-winded collab, I don’t think I truly understood how much of an undertaking this was going to be, so I really appreciate everyone who followed along. It’s been fun and I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well. Anime really is more fun when you can talk / write about it with others.
If I ever did something like this again, I’d maybe consider something more condensed or more spaced out, like posts for every 3 episodes or something. One post per episode is quite a bit. On the plus side though it did help me employ a more consistent posting schedule, and it’s nice to be able to examine each individual episode like this. Konobi ended up being a great choice for this kind of “theme” collab I think.
I also think a collab like this with a discussion focus instead of a theme focus would be fun if paired with a more serious anime. An idea for another time – unless someone reading this would be interested in starting something like that – count me in!
All right so here’s the deal. I’m feeling a bit too lazy to write anything substantial, so I’m going to just write a nice accurate and quality recap of what happened in Konobi episode 11. As accurate as possible, with no inaccuracies.
A perfectly accurate recap of what happened.
By the way, you can find this episode’s themes here.
Each week, for each episode I will post a list of themes.
Pick a theme, watch the episode, and write a post about it!
You are free to write however you wish, and as much as you wish.
Just be sure to write about your chosen theme in relation to the episode!
Please tag the post the theme list post where you got your chosen theme (ex. tag this post for episode 9) so that I can keep track of everyone’s posts. I will also update this post with a list of everyone’s posts as we go.
The theme I chose this week was “pause at 12:59 and write about the image you see”.
This was one of those high risk, high reward themes. It’s also a theme that I should be able to wrap up with not many words.
I had to pick a random time that would hopefully yield a very interesting image, which in the grand scheme of things, is unlikely. What are the chances that the time I picked for the theme would end up being something amazing? Well, there are about 24 minutes in an episode, which is 1440 seconds. I’m going to guess that maybe 300 seconds were of something interesting this episode. Which would make the final chance 20.8%. So I guess I had a pretty good chance of picking a time that would produce an interesting image after all.
