Well, even though the Konobi collab and Pastel Memories are still a thing this week, I’ve managed to drag my feet on watching both of those things. Which means I’ll freestyle it here with a randompost.
Lately I’ve been seeing anime come up that I’ve been wanting to rewatch for quite some time. My most recent rewatch would be that bunny girl anime, which feels less like a rewatch and more like an extended watch, because I just watched it twice in a row.
Anyone else just scroll through your anime list every once in a while?
I do it pretty often, and when I realize that I can’t remember half of the anime I’ve seen beyond a few details, I know it’s primetime for some rewatches.
Attention all WordPress readers! Will Sirius has started a new blog – https://siriuswrites.com/
He is in great danger, and he needs your help to get followers on his new blog! To help, all he needs is your credit card number, the three digits… wait a second.
Anyways his WordPress follower count is starting from 0. If you use the WordPress Reader frequently like I do, consider checking out his new blog and following it so you can see his new posts. I’m sure many of you didn’t realize this was the case and follow his old blog, like myself until recently.
(I couldn’t find a WordPress follow button on his website, but you should be able to follow him on this page.)
There are times when I want to write something, but don’t have anything in mind to write about. It’s times like these where I browse my anime list and see if I can’t think up a topic – like this one!
It’s something we talk about pretty frequently in regards to anime:
There are just so many unfortunate situations where a deserving anime is deprived of a sequel.
Consider this an open letter to the powers out there that create anime.
Or a series of open letters, I should say.
I was originally just writing a single post of desired sequels, but it became so long that I realized it would be pretty tedious to actually read. It basically looked like one of those posts that is just asking for people to just read the headers and skim the rest.
So as a result, here is the first anime on the list – Tokyo Ravens.
I’ve been keeping a list of ideas that I think would make for a good manga / anime (just going to say anime from here on out, but I mean both). You may have noticed me mention this list before in a comment somewhere.
While it may never happen, I’d like to think that one day one of these ideas could actually become something beyond just an idea.
Wouldn’t it be cool to have some sort of big anime concept collab?
Surely between all of us we can come up with some great concepts.
Of course, even better would be some sort of collab that involves the actual creation of a manga, or storyboards or something like this. That said, I have no artistic talent in this area so unfortunately ideas are the best I can do.
I also ended up embedding three songs that I’ve been listening to recently!
The songs are not related to the 3 anime concepts in any way whatsoever, I just like them!
Each week, for each episode I will post a list of themes.
Pick a theme, watch the episode, and write a post about it!
You are free to write however you wish, and as much as you wish.
Just be sure to write about your chosen theme in relation to the episode!
Please tag the post the theme list post where you got your chosen theme (ex. tag this post for episode 8) so that I can keep track of everyone’s posts. I will also update this post with a list of everyone’s posts as we go.
Consider joining in!
Previous themes lists can be found here.
Stay tuned for my post with episode 1 themes at 12pm (EST) on Jan 7th.
I think I’ve come up with some good ones to choose from!
Most of the responses I received regarding the anime choice were in relation to This Art Club Has a Problem!. I apologize if you were more interested in True Tears – but maybe this anime can be used in a future collab or something (I have a few other ideas, but one collab at a time!), because I was also a bit interested in the anime, which is why I suggested it as a potential option. I guess we’ll see!
So yeah, mainly wanted to confirm that now so you all have a few days notice at least before I post the epsiode 1 themes. I think you probably already knew this or figured as much, but hey might as well get the official word out.
We know that thanks to this post, when the blog first received a One Lovely Blog Award. In fact, this was the first award of many to be received on this blog. What a journey it’s been over these past several months.
But it’s not over yet, because the blog has been nominated yet again for the One Lovely Blog Award. You know, this makes the Umai Yomu Anime Blog a lovely blog x2. Twice as lovely as it once was. Truly a lovely blog, loved by many. And all of this love is very appreciated by yours truly. Thanks everyone for the support.
Speaking of which, an extra thanks goes out to Tessa for the nomination this time around. Tessa also runs a lovely blog, that I recently discovered a few weeks ago. A great blog for anime and manga related content!
There are some things I need to get off my chest. Why I don’t exactly know. Maybe I secretly want you all to convince me otherwise of my opinions, like when I was convinced to watch Made in Abyss and ended up enjoying it.
