Seeing as I no longer live there, I feel like I can comfortably write a little about where I was living during my two years in Japan, and that’s… Nakano City! But not the Nakano City of Tokyo.
No, this Nakano City is much more rural.

Haven’t been watching too much anime recently, and haven’t thought of anything I really wanted to write about lately. But, I wanted to write something, so I figured I’d do something a little different from the old anime word association that I’ve done before.
Instead of associating anime to random words, I’ve got a random question generator to use and try to associate the questions to an anime. And hopefully answer them as well.
We’ll see how it goes anyways, I’m not sure what sort of questions we’ll get from this, but let’s find out.
This is just a thought I had recently after doing some reading, so figured I’d articulate it here.
It’s about building up experience watching anime and how that affects our perception and judgement of the anime we watch.
With another year done and over with, I figure I may as well write one of these blog posts.
Well well well, look what we have here folks.
Another Blogger Recognition Award.
I don’t mean to brag, but, this is the third one I’ve won now.
Look, some blogs are just better than others. That’s just how it is.
And this happens to be one of the best blogs to ever exist,
second only to The Joe Rogan Experience.
Long post theme:
This is part three of the Blogger Recognition Award, an award where I, Yomu, attempt to give this blog, the Umai Yomu Anime Blog, the recognition it deserves.
Surely I can’t keep this going for another post?!
Well, I could.
But I won’t.
Because I’m a man of the people, which you should all know by now.
While it certainly has been a while since the Umai Yomu Anime Blog last received an award, this is certainly not the first time. As you know, this is a critically acclaimed blog – providing all of the best and correct takes on everything anime. Otherwise known as the best blog ever (although I guess some other blogs come close).
The real surprise here is how this blog hasn’t received MORE awards than it already has. Quite the mystery, don’t you think?
Welcome, one and all, to the Anime A to Z awards!
(Sponsored by EcchiHunter.com – all of your favourite ecchi content, in one place!)
Highlighting many of the titles this challenge had to offer, from unexpected and hidden gems to unique and interesting, being forced to select anime based on the alphabet has allowed for the discovery of many anime I normally would not have watched.
And what better way to commemorate some of these anime but with awards?
In addition to the awards I’ve already given them, of course.
I will be handing out 10 awards across multiple categories, as well as nominating anime for these categories. Yes, this awards post is stacked, and yes, it’s rigged as I am both nominating anime and choosing the winners. I prefer to use the word “guided”, as I guide the awards to the appropriate anime.
Here we go!
You know, lately I feel like I’ve been in anime heaven with all of these rewatches!
So far I’ve hit 6 of the 9 anime on the rewatch list!
There’s Vandread, Haruhi, Date A Live, Clannad, Seitokai no Ichizon, and Ikkitousen.
In addition, there’s also Sekirei, Love Hina, and No Game No Life which I’m also rewatching and posting over on Ecchi Hunter.
Crazy right?
Have you ever felt like you aren’t getting enough from your blog?
Has writing become a chore?
Say no more! I, Yomu, have the answer you’ve been searching for!
