The Makinohara Shouko Answer.

Well, the Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl / Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai movie is out, and it seems that many have watched it before me judging by the number of people stumbling upon my “The Makinohara Shouko Question.” post, in search of some answers!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 7 months since I wrote that.
My movie predicting magnum opus!

And while the predictions are over, there’s still a LOT to unpack with this movie. Which means it’s time to dive back into the world of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai one last time. I’ve got Kimi no Sei by the peggies playing on repeat, so here we go.

The Makinohara Shouko Answer!

Needless to say, this post will contain spoilers!
Images will be unrelated to the actual text, I’m just putting them in here in sequential order of what happened in the movie.

Also, we have discussed more details in the comments, some of which aren’t in the post itself, so please check out our discussions in the comments for more information in addition to the post.

The Makinohara Shouko Question.

Quick edit – for those of you who have come across this post with questions from the Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl movie, I have another post where I go through all of that which you can find here:

The Makinohara Shouko Answer.

This post is predictions that I had made regarding what would happen next based on what happened in the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl anime. If you’re interested in seeing how I did, please keep reading and see for yourself!

Welcome to my final character analysis from Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, where I will be looking at our protagonist – Sakuta Azusagawa.

In case you’ve missed the previous analyses, you can find them all below:

This post will take a look at the last major character from the anime – Sakuta Azusagawa. Someone we follow closely, and someone who still has many questions surrounding himself at the end of the season.

Just a quick warning, what I theorize here MAY actually end up spoiling parts of the Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai movie that is coming out later this year. If you want to enjoy the movie without knowing any potential spoilers, you may want to avoid this post, or give it a read after you’ve seen the movie.

That said, my theories presented in this analysis are based PURELY on the anime – I have not read the light novels, or watched any movie trailers / PVs. I didn’t even know that there WAS a movie until after coming up with the ideas that are presented in this post.

Kaede Azusagawa, The Panda (Pt. 2)

This is part 2 of my analysis of Kaede Azusagawa from Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

In case you missed it, you can find part 1 here:
Kaede Azusagawa (Pt. 1)

Where we left off, Kaede had just answered the phone for the first time. Despite knowing that Mai was the one calling, she still developed a fever. Later that night, Sakuta discovered that bruises had appeared on her neck. I had also mentioned my theory behind Kaede’s puberty syndrome – that it’s some form of subconscious self-defense mechanism protecting her from social interaction.

Kaede Azusagawa, The Panda (Pt. 1)

We’ve made it to the second-to-last character analysis from Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. For this analysis we will be taking a look at Kaede Azusagawa. Just like with Koga and Futaba, this will be a two part analysis due to the length.

My most recent analysis, Mai Sakurajima, can be found here:
Mai Sakurajima

Kaede Azusagawa is the little sister of Sakuta Azusagawa, and arguably the first out of all the main characters in the anime to develop puberty syndrome. Kaede can always be found at the Azusagawa apartment, where she lives with Sakuta, away from their parents.

The Disappearance of Mai Sakurajima

It’s time to take a step back in this series of character analyses from Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, with Mai Sakurajima.

To be honest, I should have written about Mai first in this series, but I wasn’t sure of the direction I was going to take with these posts when I started. Anyways, now is as good a time as any, I’ll end up covering all of the main characters at some point regardless.

My most recent analysis, Nodoka Toyohama, can be found here:
Nodoka Toyohama

Sakurajima Mai is the front girl for the anime, as well as the first instance of puberty syndrome that we come across. When we first meet Mai, she is a former child actress who is attending high school, on hiatus from her acting career for an indefinite period of time.

Nodoka Toyohama, the Pawn

We continue on our journey looking at the various characters in Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, this time with Nodoka Toyohama.

My most recent analysis, Rio Futaba, can be found here:
Futaba Part 1
Futaba Part 2

Nodoka Toyohama is the half-sister of our beloved bunny girl, Mai Sakurajima. While they share the same father, they have separate mothers. She is best identified by her blonde hair and bratty attitude. Nodoka is also part of an idol group called Sweet Bullet.

Rio Futaba, Doppelganger (Pt. 2)

This is part two of my character analysis of Rio Futaba from the anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

Part one of this analysis can be found here:
Futaba Part 1

Carrying on from part 1, we have just learned that Futaba has been posting suggestive pictures of her body on twitter. We begin with Sakuta’s confrontation of old Futaba about this.

Rio Futaba, Doppelganger (Pt. 1)

It’s time to continue on with my character analyses from the anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai with Rio Futaba.

My last analysis, Tomoe Koga, can be found here:
Koga Part 1
Koga Part 2

Futaba is a second-year and good friend of Sakuta. She can be best identified by her labcoat and glasses, and will usually be found in the school’s science room, as Futaba is the science club’s only member. Futaba appears throughout the entire anime, primarily as a support character to Sakuta who provides advice from a scientific angle to puberty syndrome occurrences. Futaba takes on a main character role for episodes 7 & 8 in the anime.

Laplace’s Demon, Tomoe Koga (Pt. 2)

Tomoe Koga is the first character analysis from the anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

You can find part one of this character analysis here:
Laplace’s Demon, Tomoe Kaga (Pt. 1)

And with that, let’s continue on.

Laplace’s Demon, Tomoe Koga (Pt. 1)

Tomoe Koga will be first up on my series of character analyses from the anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yuma wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

Tomoe Koga is the cute first-year who manages to rope Sakuta into pretending to be a couple until summer break in order to avoid being ostracized by her circle of friends at school. While making appearances throughout most of the anime, she only takes on a main character role for episodes 4 – 6 during the Laplace’s Demon arc.

With that summary out of the way, let’s talk Tomoe Koga!
