Or maybe it doesn’t.
It really all depends when this post is published.
Once again I’ve been nominated for a Mystery Blogger Award, courtesy of LofZOdyssey. I actually wrote this one back before I came to Japan, but worry not because I’ve since modified it to make it seem like I just wrote this now, and not a month ago.
Also, thanks for the nomination LofZOdyssey!
It’s much appreciated.
Alright, time for those pesky rules..

- Share 2 links to your best posts
Seeing as this is now my FOURTH time on this award… I’m going to shamelessly break the Mystery Blogger Award’s golden rule…
Okoto Enigma, no link for you.
I used to always get a cold cut, toasted, with cheddar cheese, spinach, lettuce, banana peppers, bbq and hot sauce at Subway. But lately I’ve been really enjoying just a meatball sub, toasted, with cheddar cheese, banana peppers, bbq and hot sauce. It’s a big change for me, considering I ordered the former sub for basically a decade. And now there’s no more Subway around me anymore.
I’ve had a Samsung Galaxy S3 that I’ve used for the past 8 years that I finally moved on from when I moved to Japan. The new phone, a Galaxy S7, is amazing. My phone can go for longer than a few hours without dying?! I can use apps again, and load webpages again? Crazy.
I’ve been wearing the same pair of glasses for 5 years. I actually recently ordered a second pair, exact same prescription, just to have as backups because my other backups are probably around 8 years old. I really like my current glasses, so getting new ones on a new prescription was out of the question!
I am alive, but I grow; I don’t have lungs, but I need air; I don’t have a mouth, but water kills me. What am I?
A riddle huh.
The trick to these is to think abstract.
The answer to this one is: a submarine.
It’s alive in the sense that it’s a working machine operated by a live crew. It grows in that the crew gains experience operating it. No lungs but needs air to keep the crew alive and to properly dive / rise. No mouth but water inside would kill the crew and sink the submarine for good.
What can you catch but never throw?
The answer to this one is: “a break”.
A man walked into town on Friday. He stayed two nights and left again on Friday. How?
The wording is key here.
Notice how the riddle says that the man walked into town on Friday?
The answer to this one: dementia.
Which US state is round on both sides and high in the middle?
The answer to this one is: Ohio.
Name three consecutive days without using Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, a month, or a date.
This one requires a little knowledge of Japanese customs.
Luckily, I knew the answer for it.
The answer to this one is: Constitution Day, Greenery Day, and Children’s Day. In other words, it’s the three consecutive days of Golden Week in Japan on May 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
My Two BEST Posts
All of them.
And that just about does it for the Mystery Blogger Award.
Always fun to answer more questions, although I feel like I’m running out of things to write about myself. Next time I get nominated I’ll be reduced to some pretty mundane things, you’ve been warned!
Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
