Yomu in Japan: Nagano Edition

As I mentioned last time, I’m no longer in Tokyo.
I’ve since moved to Nagano prefecture!

At this point I’m closer to Japan’s northern shores than the southern ones, and quite far away from Tokyo.

As you’d expect of Nagano, there are mountains all around.
And so this post is dedicated to all these beautiful mountains!

Let’s get a post theme in here:

When I had first arrived, it had just snowed the day prior and not melted yet, giving me a short glimpse of Nagano with a blanket of snow.

After that the snow melted, but of course the mountains still look great.

Even though I’ve already taken so many pictures of the mountains, I still have to stop myself from whipping out my phone and snapping photos. The scenery is amazing here. I can’t help myself!

Already looking forward to getting some skiing in next winter, as well as visiting some hot springs! Maybe some camping will be on the cards too? We’ll see!

I’m pretty settled into my apartment now, have all the basic essentials. I even have a car, and have gotten more comfortable with driving on the left (wrong) side of the road. The narrow roads can be a little unnerving, but overall it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. Last point though, the roads here are nonsensical, so navigation can be tricky.

After the touristy stuff, it’s time to settle into some life in Japan.
We’ll see how that plays out!

Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
