Right, so we’re back with another episode of Date A Live.
When we had last left off, Origami had kidnapped Shido before going off to murder all the spirits using some new tech given to her by Ellen. Speaking of, Ellen was attacking the Fraxinus, Ratatoskr’s ship.

Synopsis
Ellen and the Fraxinus trade blows, and then we don’t see anything else from this battle for the episode. It’s just abruptly forgotten.
After that, Yoshino and Natsumi arrive to save Shido. Apparently they saw him with Origami when Yoshino was showing Natsumi the city, and decided to follow them.
Finally, Origami manages to beat most of the spirits, but then Tohka’s spirit power comes back to her and she knocks Origami out. A voice then speaks to Origami and ends up giving her some spirit powers of her own. The two battle it out until Shido arrives, and then Origami flees.

Episode Thoughts
Man, Origami is so dumb. I already thought so last episode, but even more so this episode. It’s like she has absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever. How can she go from being friends with the spirits, or at least getting along with them, to wanting to murder them so quickly? In my opinion, she would had to have made a conscious effort to work herself up again over the death of her parents.
And so she then becomes a spirit herself.
What a genius.
I said it last episode and I’l say it again, Origami has had enough second chances. Tohka should have finished her off when she had the chance. Origami brought it upon herself and deserved nothing less, considering she can flip from normal to a revenge-obsessed lunatic overnight. Her spirit form is pretty cool though, it suits her well, I’ll admit that.
Anyways, Origami aside, I thought it was funny how the ship battle between Ratatoskr and Ellen was just shelved. We saw it in the very beginning, and then that was it. Either the conclusion to that battle was so quick I somehow missed it (which is possible…) or it’s supposed to be a cliffhanger.. maybe?
Guess we’ll find out.

Wrapping Up…
Was a pretty good episode, overall. Some real good action in there. I just have to say now though that I’m going to be quite disappointed when Origami is brought back into the fold as a friend, as if nothing ever happened. Even though several times now she’s gone on a murderous rampage in order to try and avenge her parents.
She’s a lunatic and should be treated as such.
Anyways, that’s all for this episode.
Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
You have no idea how hard it is not to say anything…
I am dying to read your review of the next episode, “Demon King of Descending Darkness!”
Now, I by no means want to oversell it. It’s a favorite moment of mine within this series. But I really enjoyed it, and I hope you do, too!
