Nagato Yuki-chan is hit by a car… and then something seems off after that.
Are the Haruhi worlds overlapping once again?

Synopsis
Yuki is hit by a car, and then proceeds to act very reserved and quiet for the remainder of the episode, only showing a smile once to Kyon. Asakura is very concerned and keeps a close eye on Yuki, eventually coming to the conclusion that the Yuki we see is not the Yuki she knows…

Episode Thoughts
I don’t actually know if there’s Haruhi world overlap here, and that Yuki somehow changed into the alien one. It would explain the difference in behaviour. Wasn’t Yuki hit by a car in the Haruhi movie? I can’t even remember, because the movie ended so fast. Maybe there is something I’m forgetting here that should be obvious.
Either way, Asakura realized immediately that Yuki was not normal once she saw Yuki interacting with Kyon and not blushing / running away, which is what this world’s usual Yuki does. She gets super flustered around Kyon.
This was a sort of interesting episode, with a bit of a cliffhanger too. The whole episode was very somber, echoing Yuki’s mood.

In Conclusion…
Interesting episode. There wasn’t much comedy this time around, but it was still enjoyable in a different way, with the odd tone this episode introduced.
We’ll find out what’s going on with Yuki soon enough anyways.
Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
And so begins the only arc in this series that I actually liked, probably because it was the only one that even remotely felt like the original. Not enough to redeem the rest of it for me though (sorry, just not a fan of this spinoff).
And no, nobody got hit by a car in the movie. Human Yuki collapsed in horror after Asakura stabbed Kyon (you might be thinking of Asakura splattering blood on Yuki’s face as she waved the knife around) but that’s the only time I remember her being on the ground.

Yeah that must have been it, this episode sort of had the same tone as that night in the movie.
