暁Records – トレジャーチルノ (Treasure Cirno)!

Yep, I write this every time, and I’m going to write it again: you’re in for a real treat this week! Just like every week, you just never know what Akatsuki Records has in store for you next.

This week, the song I’ll be “reviewing” is トレジャーチルノ (Treasure Cirno).
If you thought the catgirls from last week were interesting, then you’d best give Treasure Cirno a listen!

Right away you can tell, this is going to be a song similar to Girl’s Salvation Theory, only with a more gentle tone… SIKE!

We’re going back to crazy town for this one folks, so buckle up! Treasure Cirno is actually more in line with this song. In fact, I’d take that a step further and say that Treasure Cirno is the craziest Akatsuki Records song I’ve heard so far. Wish I knew the name of this vocalist, she’s just amazing!

Anyways, this song is inspired from the Touhou track Tomboyish Girl in Love. What we have here is another Akatsuki Records interpretation that manages to create something even more chaotic and energetic than the Touhou original. That said, the Touhou melodies are excellent and come in strong here.

How does one even describe this song in words? Outstanding vocals. It’s really impressive how she sings with so much energy, and manages to walk the line between singing and yelling / screaming! I’m not sure what else I can say, the vocals are just that good.

The PV is also pretty fun, depicting Cirno going through some Mario-esque levels. She dies to some falling boulders, but then manages to revive and finish the level – only to discover that the treasure chest at the end is empty!

Treasure Cirno gets a 5.1 / 5 from me.
Up until now, Girl’s Salvation Theory was my favourite Akatsuki song, but Treasure Cirno has managed to take the top spot. And so, I had to give it a little edge on the rating.

What will Akatsuki have in store for us next week?

Until next time,
Thanks for reading.
