This Art Club Has A Problem! – Episode 12 Themes List

This is it, the final episode of the collab.
What a journey it’s been!

Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the collab, and thanks to everyone who has been following along and reading all of the collab posts! This has been a quite long-winded collab, I don’t think I truly understood how much of an undertaking this was going to be, so I really appreciate everyone who followed along. It’s been fun and I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well. Anime really is more fun when you can talk / write about it with others.

If I ever did something like this again, I’d maybe consider something more condensed or more spaced out, like posts for every 3 episodes or something. One post per episode is quite a bit. On the plus side though it did help me employ a more consistent posting schedule, and it’s nice to be able to examine each individual episode like this. Konobi ended up being a great choice for this kind of “theme” collab I think.

I also think a collab like this with a discussion focus instead of a theme focus would be fun if paired with a more serious anime. An idea for another time – unless someone reading this would be interested in starting something like that – count me in!

Anyways, back to the topic at hand.

Konobi – Farewell Edition

The final recap:

  • The anime is This Art Club Has a Problem!
  • Each week, for each episode I will post a list of themes.
  • Pick a theme, watch the episode, and write a post about it!
  • You are free to write however you wish, and as much as you wish.
Just be sure to write about your chosen theme in relation to the episode!
  • Please tag the post the theme list post where you got your chosen theme (ex. tag this post for episode 12) so that I can keep track of everyone’s posts. I will also update this post with a list of everyone’s posts as we go.
  • Have fun!

Previous episode themes can be found here.
Of course anyone is free to join in still, whether you want to use a theme for a single episode or all of them. I’m going to make a recap post in a few weeks with everyone’s posts, and I’ll be sure to keep it updated.

Thanks again!

Not going to choose again until I go to watch the episode later in the week.
The good news is that we should be guaranteed some Collette because all characters will likely make an appearance in this episode!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Well my secret plan was to do the “Spirit of the Artist” theme for the last episode but then you put up some real winners. Hmmm, I think instead I’ll do some combination of:

How you felt at the beginning of the anime compared to the end
Would you recommend Konobi to a friend, and why / why not?
In the end, what was the art club’s problem?

It’ll be an interesting article either way and a good end to a fun collab 🙂

  2. Does the discussion have to be for an anime that’s not currently airing as of the post? If not, Astral and Plyasm were talking of doing a Kimetsu no Yaiba collab next season and as much as they were doing so to invite me, the more the merrier, right?

Anyways, I did “How does this compare to the classics?”…and wrote a mini-essay on the deficiences of comedy as a genre in the process…

    1. Sounds interesting, thanks for the offer. I think I’m going to shy away seasonal / newly airing anime though. Winter 2019 was the first time I tried it and I don’t really like doing one episode per week. Konobi ended up working out OK, but I think the fact that it’s so disjointed as a comedy makes it easier because there’s less to remember on a weekly basis.

Also looking forward to your post! Thanks for joining in this collab all this time.

  5. I ended up falling behind because I was caught up in moving apartments T-T I’m really excited to catch up and read all the finales, though. This was so fun, and I’m really glad I got to be a part of it, even if I was a part of it sporadically 🙂
