You may not have known this, but I’m actually a well established pirate captain.
In fact, you may have even heard of us from the rumours going around.
They call us the… Mirage Pirates.
That’s right, I am Dark-Seal Mirage, notorious pirate captain wanted for countless raids on World Government ships. We strike fast – appear and disappear just as quick. They don’t even have proper bounty posters for us – our targets always find their way to the bottom of the ocean after being stripped of all valuables.
Only a single pair of marines managed to survive long enough to row their way back to land and report on what had happened, creating the first rumours of my crew. As such, not much is known about the Mirage Pirates – only that they strike far away from land, target only Government ships, and leave no trace of their existence behind.
It’s about time my crew received some recognition for their efforts in putting the World Government down once and for all. Every sunk Government ship is one step closer to our goal of bringing freedom back to the world – allowing individual islands, nations, and kingdoms to form and maintain their own respective territories without the corrupt World Government sticking it’s nose into everyone’s business like the global mafia that it is.
Let’s get on with it then.

Thanks to Lynn Sheridan for adapting what was originally his Seven Sundays post into this awesome and fun tag post! The moment I read his crew my mind began thinking up my own crew, so thanks for making this tag happen Lynn!
Navigator – Yin
Arguably the most important position on the crew. The Mirage Pirates can not only navigate without a Log Pose, but can also strike in the worst of weather, and the worst of conditions. In fact, it’s in low visibility situations that my crew works best.
This is all thanks to Yin’s ability to use observer spirits to view ANYTHING near water, as long as she herseslf maintains contact to water. As you can imagine, this ability is invaluable for a pirate crew on the Grand Line, and allows Yin to view and watch anything at any distance from the comfort of the ship.
Strategist – Riku Dola
Simply seeing our targets isn’t enough. The Mirage Pirates are often outmanned and outgunned in a one on one fight with World Government ships. Proper strategy is key – the Mirage Pirates will do WHATEVER it takes to win. Nothing is off the table. And this is where our strategist, Riku Dola comes in. Someone who has lived through hell and truly understands what is required when facing an opponent much larger than yourself. A strategic genius who is well suited to this role.
Warrior – Izayoi Sakamaki
While a bit on the wild side, Izayoi has the strength needed to board and fight marines – as well as sink ships with a single stone. At first he was a bit too ruthless in his work, but Izayoi understands our mission and does a great job, being the powerhouse that he is.
Sniper – Tigrevurmud Vorn
Extremely skilled in archery, Tigre never misses his mark. Very useful for quitetly eliminating scouts or striking key areas of a ship from a distance. Our skilled mechanic has created various different arrowheads that can be used to achieve different goals, depending on what the plan our strategist has come up with.
Mechanic – Tatsuya Shiba
A genius inventor, Tatsuya is able to make the impossible possible. There’s nothing this man can’t fix. Not only this, but he also has extremely valuable combat skills – both in ranged and close combat. Tatsuya is irreplaceable to the Mirage Pirates due to his wide variety of skills. HIs title may be Mechanic, but Tatsuya also serves as a scientist and warrior aboard the ship.
Doctor – Korin
To be honest, he’s a bit on the lazy side – but he brings Senzu Beans to the table, so we put up with him on the crew. Korin can usually be found fishing off the side of the ship, or eating fish, or napping. We’ve never seen him actually grow the beans, so how he manages to always have a bag full of them is a mystery. They are able to heal any injury and completely restore someone’s stamina, pretty useful when raiding marine ships. As a result he technically holds the position of Doctor, even though all he does is hand out Senzu Beans.
Entertainer – Aqua
While sinking Government ships is our main form of entertainment, Aqua serves to help keep spirits up on a long voyage. Aqua is the life of the party! She may be mostly useless, but she knows some pretty good party tricks, and can sometimes be helpful with everyday chores when she puts her mind to it. She also enjoys pestering Korin.
To be frank, we keep Aqua around for her ability to purify water, allowing us to pull water from the ocean to drink. Very useful!
And that’s the Mirage Pirates!
As you can see, we value efficiency above all else, with many crew members filling multiple roles.
A very fun post, thanks again to Lynn for the nomination and the tag.
I’ll go ahead and nominate:
I thought this was a fun tag, so hopefully some of you agree with this and take a stab at it! There’s so much potential for great pirate crews.
Until next time!
Thanks for reading.
